i wanted to stay

The thing i'm going to miss most about courtenay are my friends and family.

the town itself is great. great people, great food, great places to swim and play and ride bikes.

but my friends... they are exceptional.

case and point.

rudi and i are sitting in a coffee shop on 5th street. completely comfortable, slouching, legs up on other chairs chatting about this one time.

this one time, a few weeks ago, rudi and i had gone dancing on a sunday night in victoria. we ended up at a dive (evolution) in the protection of nate. only nate. who thought it was funny to watch us fight with men. there really was no shame.

rudi and i were dancing, being kind of goofy and this big, lanky, greasy weirdo kept trying to dance with and touch rudi. she got super brow with him and told him to back off and when he wouldn't and he turned around, she lifted her leg and daintily booted his ass across the dancefloor.

i have never laughed so hard in my life.

but who am i to talk.

at least he didn't have a weave....

oh dear.
